Nifty ends below 8450, Sensex flat; Sun Pharma plunges 9%
The market has ended flat ahead of RBI monetary policy review tomorrow. The Sensex was up 20.55 points at 27848.99 and the Nifty was down 0.25 points at 8433.40. About 1223 shares advanced, 1516 shares declined, and 166 shares were unchanged.

 Reliance, L&T, Maruti, HUL and Cipla were top gainers while Sun Pharma, Bharti, Tata Motors, ONGC and HDFC Bank were major laggards in the Sensex.

Nifty hovers around 8350, Sensex firm; Sun Pharma, SBI up
The market is gaining as it kicks off June F&O series. The Nifty is up 29.95 points or at 8348.95. The Sensex is up 117.30 points or 0.4 percent at 27624.01. About 1069 shares have advanced, 628 shares declined, and 109 shares are unchanged.

About 1032 shares have advanced, 601 shares declined, and 117 shares are unchanged.

Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel, Cipla, Coal India and SBI are top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers are ONGC, BHEL, GAIL, Dr Reddy's Labs and Tata Motors.

The Indian rupee was flat in early trade. The currency has opened at 63.81 a dollar against previous day's closing value of 63.80 a dollar.

Stock Market Morning News Update— ONGC, Tech Mah gainers

Nifty opens higher on expiry day; ONGC, Tech Mah gainers

The market started off expiry day on a positive note. The Sensex gained 96.48 points at 27661.14 and the Nifty rose 25.60 points to 8360.20. About 537 shares have advanced, 211 shares declined, and 63 shares are unchanged on the BSE.

Tata Motors, ONGC, Infosys, Bharti Airtel, HDFC, Tech Mahindra and BPCL gained 0.7-1.7 percent while GAIL, M&M, Dr Reddys Labs, SBI, Hindalco, HCL Tech and PNB lost 0.4-2 percent. 

The Indian rupee has opened at Rs 63.93 a dollar today, up 8 paise over previous day's close. In the previous session, the currency closed at 64.01 a dollar, the lowest closing level since May 12.

Sensex ends 112 pts down, Nifty below 8350; BHEL jumps 5%
The market ended at lower levels. The Sensex was down 112.47 points or 0.4 percent at 27531.41 and the Nifty was down 30.90 points or 0.4 percent at 8339.35. About 1176 shares have advanced, 1482 shares declined, and 175 shares are unchanged. 

 After beating estimates by its March quarter results, BHEL ended with 5 percent gains. Coal India, Hero MotoCorp, Maruti and Bajaj Auto are top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers are ONGC, Vedanta, Tata Motors, NTPC and Reliance.

Sensex falls 311 pts, Nifty ends at 8368; Vedanta, ITC drag
After a weak trading session, the market ended on lower note. The Sensex was down 310.58 points or 1 percent at 27646.92 and the Nifty ended down 91.30 points or 1 percent at 8367.65. About 1163 shares advanced, 1521 shares declined and 163 shares were unchanged. Vedanta, ITC, Tata Steel, HDFC and GAIL were major laggards in the Sensex. Among the gainers were ONGC, Bharti Airtel and Wipro.
