The Indian Equity market is still under pressure with the Sensex is down 57 points or 0.2 percent at 25621.93. The Nifty is down 14.40 points or 0.2 percent at 7840.65. About 977 shares have advanced, 742 shares declined, and 96 shares are unchanged. Hindalco, Tata Steel, M&M, BHEL, NTPC are gainers while ICICI Bank, Adani Ports, Hero, Bajaj Auto and SBI are losers in the Sensex.
The Indian stock market is trading lower this morning, extending losses to a third successive day, on weak global cues and on caution ahead of the U.S. Federal Reserve's monetary policy meeting. Though it is widely expected that the Federal Reserve will not lift rates at this meeting, markets are looking for clues on whether a June rate hike is on the table.
In the Forex market, the Indian rupee opened marginally lower at 66.72 a dollar, extending losing streak for the fourth straight session. Key Indian equity indices opened lower on Tuesday in line with peers in other markets across the globe, notably due to caution before the meetings of the central banks of the US and Japan this week.

Sensex up over 100 pts, Nifty nears 8400; TCS falls 1%
The market has opened flat on Thursday after massive sell-off in yesterday trade. The Sensex is up 5.30 points at 27693.02 and the Nifty is up 1.80 points at 8364.85. About 377 shares have advanced, 118 shares declined, and 66 shares are unchanged.
 Hindalco, GAIL, Tata Steel, Infosys and Coal India are top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers are Bajaj Auto, HDFC Bank, HUL and NTPC.
Asian shares reversed course and rose as a slide in battered Chinese stocks was stemmed, at least temporarily, while the safe-haven yen was nudged off highs scaled against the dollar.

Nifty hits 8400, Sensex up over 100 pts; Hindalco, Lupin up

The S&P BSE Sensex surged as much as 94 points in trade on Wednesday, led by gains in Sun Pharma, L&T, Coal India, ICICI Bank, TCS and RIL.
The 50-share Nifty index rose smartly in trade and was hovering near its next crucial psychological level of 8400. The rally in the index was supported by gains in pharma, capital goods, consumer durable, and realty stocks.
McNally Bharat surged 18%, ABG Shipyard gained 5% and Tata Chemicals was up 4% in intraday trade.
About 382 shares have advanced, 109 shares declined, and 74 shares are unchanged. Sun Pharma, Tata Motors, Hindalco, ONGC and Coal India are top gainers while HUL, Dr Reddy's Labs, NTPC and HDFC twins are major laggards.

Sensex plunges over 500 pts, Nifty below 8250 on Greek woes
Amid Greek uncertainty, the market has opened with some sever losses. The Sensex is at 27293.25, down 518.59 points or 1.86 percent. The Nifty is down 153.25 points or 1.83% at 8227.85.
 About 136 shares have advanced, 862 shares declined, and 69 shares are unchanged. Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, SBI, Axis Bank and Hindalco are major laggards in the Sensex with no stock in green at the moment.
