Indian Stock Market Closing Bell— Sensex ends up 184 pts



After a volatile day of trade, the market ended on higer note. The Sensex was up 183.67 points or 0.7 percent at 27458.38, and the Nifty gained 49.90 points or 0.6 percent at 8284.50. About 1351 shares have advanced, 1543 shares declined and 399 shares were unchanged.
HUL and Infosys were stars of the day. Bouyed up by better-than-expected December quarter results, the IT company ended with 5 percent gains. HUL was up 6 percent. TCS, Dr Reddy's Labs and ONGC were other gainers in the Sensex.

Today Stock Trading Tips – Sensex rallies over 200 points, Nifty reclaims 8300



Nifty hits 8300, Sensex firm; Tata Steel, ONGC gain 1-2%
The S&P BSE Sensex surged as much as 233 points in trade on Friday, led by gains in TCS, ITC, Tata Motors BSE 1.33 %, RIL and HDFC.  The Sensex is up 195.90 points or 0.7 percent at 27470.61 and the Nifty is up 50.85 points or 0.6 percent at 8285.45. Tracking the momentum, the 50-share Nifty index also managed to reclaim its crucial psychological level of 8300 supported by gains in metals, oil & gas, realty and auto stocks and 325 shares are unchanged.
Tata Steel, Tata Motors, ONGC, Tata Power and HDFC Bank are top gainers in the Sensex.
The Indian rupee gained in the early trade. It has opened higher by 19 paise at 62.48 per dollar compared to previous day's closing value.

Stock Market Closing Bell – Nifty ends at 8235, Sensex up 366 pts



The BSE Sensex rose more than 1.5 per cent on Thursday, rebounding from a near three-week low hit in the previous session, led by gains in companies focused on the domestic economy such as ITC and ICICI Bank on value buying.
The market ended with some spectacular gains. The Sensex ended up 365.89 points or 1.4 percent at 27274.71 and the Nifty was up 132.50 points or 1.6 percent at 8234.60. Sensex rallies over 300 points; Nifty reclaims 8200
The S&P BSE Sensex rallied as much as 341 points in trade on Thursday, tracking Asian markets which were trading higher on upbeat U.S. employment data and a halt to a slide in oil tempered investor risk aversion.
The Sensex is up 312.29 points or 1 percent at 27221.11 and the Nifty is up 89.30 points or 1 percent at 8191.40. The 50-share index touched 8200 briefly just immediately in opening. About 491 shares have advanced, 65 shares declined, and 351 shares are unchanged.
All banks are up with key gainers like SBI and ICICI BAnk. Wipro, Coal India and Tata Motors are other gainers in the Sensex.
 The Indian rupee has opened at 63.20 a dollar , down 3 paise compared to previous day's closing value of Rs 63.17 a dollar.

Stock Market Closing Bell— Choppy Sensex falls



It was a consolidation day for the equity benchmarks as well as broader markets on Wednesday after a 3 percent cut seen in previous session.
However, market experts were not too worried about the correction. Ridham Desai of Morgan Stanley expects more volatility ahead but expects earnings to pick up in the next two quarters. Arvind Sanger of Geosphere says though he was cautious, he will buy into India on dips.
The 30-share BSE Sensex fell 78.64 points to 26908.82 while the 50-share NSE Nifty held 8100 level amid pressure, down 25.25 points to 8102.10. The broader markets closed flat.
