Market Update
Nifty-Stop loss short-positions at 8,250. Stop loss long-positions at 8,145. Big moves could go till 8,325 and 8,075. A long 8000p (77), short 7900p (57) could gain 10-15 if the futures drops below 8,100.
Bank Nifty-Stop loss long positions at 17,575. Stop short positions at 17,800. Big moves could go till 18,000, 17,350. A correction might be on the cards, given stiff resistance at 17,725-17,775.
Hindalco
-Keep a stop at Rs 83 and go short. Add to the position between Rs 80-81. Book profits at Rs 79
Infosys
-Keep a stop at Rs 1,120 and go long. Add to the position between Rs 1145 and Rs 1,150. Book profits at Rs 1,155.
Tata Motors
-Keep a stop at Rs 346 and short. Add to the position between Rs 336 and Rs 338. Book profits at Rs 332.

  • Asia Pacific market upside. Jakarta up by 0.92% & Nikkei up by 0.75%.
  • Wall St. up. USD Core Retail Sales down to 0.1%. Dow future up by 115 pts.

           Indian indices remained volatile and closed on positive note amid global cues. On sectorial front all major indices traded upside including, Infra, FMCG and Realty except IT and media sector. Sensex was up by 102 points at 27035 & Nifty up by 24 points to settle at 8177 level. European markets traded upside.
Indian Rupee Update
             The Indian rupee has opened lower by 5 paise at 65.03 per dollar on Thursday against previous close of 64.98.The USD-INR pair is expected to continue this trend today and trade in a range of 64.80-65.10/dollar.

Market News
               The Indian equity market is likely to open in the green with the SGX Nifty trading at 8030, up 71.50 points at 7:25 am. Global positivity too is likely to aid support to the market. 
               US stocks closed more than 1 percent higher, recovering from an initial decline of more than 1.5 percent, as investors digested higher oil prices and a weaker-than-expected jobs report. The Dow and S&P 500 closed up more than 1 percent for their biggest intraday upside reversal since October 4, 2011. The US economy added 142,000 jobs in September versus expectations of over 200,000 jobs. August's number was also revised sharply lower, thereby reducing the probability of a Fed rate hike in 2015.
  • Indian mkts ended slightly upside. Nifty and Sensex up by 0.03% and 0.25%
  • Asia Pacific market upside. Jakarta up by 0.73% & Nikkei up by 1.89%.
  • Wall St. up. USD Core Retail Sales down to 0.1%. Dow future up by 155 pts.

On sectorial front all major indices traded upside including, IT, Infra, Media, FMCG and Realty except banking sector. Sensex was up by 66 points at 26220 & Nifty up by 2 points to settle at 7950 level. European markets traded mixed.

              The Indian rupee opened at seven week high as it surged 26 paise in the early trade on Monday at 65.25 per dollar against  Thursday’s close of 65.51.We expect a range of 65.10-65.50/dollar for the day

Stock Cash Tips — Market Open Strong Today



Sensex climbs over 200 points, Nifty reclaims 8,750

The market has opened March series on a positive note. The Nifty is up 45.65 points at 8729.50. The Sensex is up 202.12 points or 0.7 percent at 28948.77. About 375 shares have advanced, 120 shares declined, and 110 shares are unchanged.

 Tata Power, L&T, Tata Motors, Sesa Sterlite and SBI are top gainers whle NTPC, ITC and TCS are among the losers in the Sensex.
The Indian rupee opened lower by 11 paise at 61.86 per dollar on Friday against previous day's closing value of 61.75 a dollar.

Indian Stock Market Closing Bell

The market ended with some hefty gains boosted by banks, auto and pharma stocks. The Sensex ended up 289.83 points or 1 percent at 29094.93 and the Nifty was up 93.95 points or 1 percent at 8805.50. About 1450 shares advanced, 1436 shares declined and 198 shares were unchanged. SBI surged 8 percent while M&M was up 5 percent. TCS, Coal India and Wipro are other gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers are GAIL, BHEL, ONGC, HDFC Bank and Infosys. Sensex, Nifty open firm; SBI gains 2%, BHEL drags 5%

The market has opened higher. The Sensex is up 71.07 points at 28876.17 and the Nifty is up 29.95 points at 8741.50. About 464 shares have advanced, 144 shares declined, and 136 shares are unchanged.
The S&P BSE Sensex raised as much as 110 points in trade on Friday on positive macro economic data and global cues. The rally in the index was led by gains in ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries, Sun Pharma, SBI and L&T. 
SBI is up 2 percent while ICICI Bank, Hero, Dr Reddy's Labs, and Sun Pharma. BHEL is down 5 percent and Coal India, ONGC, Infosys and M&M are losers in the Sensex.
Reviving hopes of manufacturing recovery, industrial production grew at five-month high of 3.8 per cent in November last year, but retail inflation inched up to 5 per cent in December.
 The Indian rupee gained in early trade. It rose 18 paise to 62.13 per dollar against 62.31 Thursday. The dollar drops across the board after weaker-than-expected US economic data.

Stock Market Closing News



The market ended at lower level. The Nifty ends at 8711.70 (down 12 points), after sinking below 8700 intraday. The Sensex is down 32.14 points at 28850.97. About 1025 shares have advanced, 1889 shares declined and 229 shares are unchanged.
