Indian Rupee Update:-
The Indian rupee opened higher by 6 paise at 66.26 per dollar on Wednesday against previous close of 66.32.The rupee is expected to trade within a narrow range of 66.28-66.32/dollar
Market Outlook:-
In equity market late sell-off has wiped out all the gains on Dalal Street. Select heavies dragged the market while cash volumes remained low ahead of a holiday season. Nifty future down 56 points or 0.70 percent at 7785.  
The 30-share BSE Sense down 145 points at 25590. The market breadth was slightly weak  as about 1307 shares advanced against 1383 declining shares on the BSE.  
Shares of Housing Development and Infrastructure (HDIL) rose 5 percent intraday on Tuesday as real estate company has sold development rights on its land parcel at Kurla to DK Realty (India) for Rs 649.51 crore   
Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc, USA, has been granted final approval by the US Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) for the Linezolid tablets, 600 mg," Glenmark Pharmaceuticals said in a statement.

  • Equity benchmarks ended at two-week closing high on Thursday, tracking rally in global peers after the first Fed rate hike in almost a decade.
  • Nifty future up by 98 points to close at 7856.  The 30-share BSE Sensex up 309 points at 25803.
  •  The market breadth was strong as about 1946 shares advanced against 751 declining shares on the BSE.  India has ranked a low 97th out of 144 nations, behind Kazakhstan and Ghana, on Forbes' annual list of the best countries for business in 2015, scoring poorly on metrics like trade and monetary freedom and tackling challenges like corruption and violence.  
  • Shares of Aurobindo Pharma up 1.5 percent on getting approval from USFDA for antidiarrheal and anti-inflammatory drugs.
Global Market Overview:-
  • Asian stock markets jumped on Thursday as investors chose to take an historic hike in US interest rates as a mark of confidence in the world's largest economy, though the good cheer did not extend to oil where oversupply again pressured prices.  
  • US stocks closed higher after the Federal Reserve raised rates for the first time in nearly a decade. Only the energy sector lagged as oil prices resumed their decline  The Dow Jones industrial average ended up about 224 points after earlier adding 250 points with Goldman Sachs contributing the most to gains.
  • Dow Jones industrial average closed up 224 points at 17749, The S&P 500 closed up 29 points at 2073 and The Nasdaq composite closed up 75 points 5071.

Indian Market Overview:-
  1. The market has opened flat. The Sensex is up 22.40 points or at 25172.75 and the Nifty is up 9.35 points at 7659.40. About 321 shares have advanced, 110 shares declined, and 34 shares are unchanged. Sun Pharma, Hindalco, Tata Steel, Coal India and Maruti are top gainers while Cipla, ICICI Bank, ITC, HDFC Bank and Tata Motors are down in the Sensex.
  2.  Equity benchmarks bounced back on Monday after losing more than 2 percent in previous week.
  3. Nifty future down by 40 points to close at 7668.  The 30-share BSE Sensex down 105 points at 25150.
  4. The market breadth was weak asØ about 988 shares advanced against 1661 declining shares on the BSE.  The country's wholesale inflation, which has been in negative territory for thirteen monthsØ now, eased a bit, with the wholesale price index coming in at -1.99 percent in November compared to -3.81 percent in October and versus a forecast of -2.59 percent.  
  5. Handset maker Micromax will invest Rs. 300 crore over the next few months as it sets up three new manufacturing units in India to ramp up domestic production and reduce dependence on imports from China.

                   The market has opened marginally lower, tracking negative global cues due to sharp fall in oil prices. The Sensex fell 91.10 points to 25439.01 and the Nifty declined 22.30 points to 7743.10. Dr Reddy's Labs, Vedanta, HDFC, ONGC, Hindalco, Cairn India and Adani Ports declined 1-2 percent while Tata Motors, Hero Motocorp, Infosys, Bajaj Auto, Wipro, BPCL, HCL Tech and Asian Paints gained 0.2-1 percent.

Indian Market Outlook:-
          Nifty future started off week on a negative note, continuing its downtrend for fourth consecutive session on Monday despite positive global cues. Nifty future down by 11 points to close at 7808.  The 30-share BSE Sensex ended down 108 points at 25530.

          The market breadth was slightly broader as about 1446 shares advanced against 1316 declining shares on the BSE.

 Shares of Bharat Forge fell 2.4 percent intraday Monday to hit a 52-week low of Rs 818 on the BSE due to further decline in truck orders inflow.

          Tata Group along With its listed firms adding over USD 100 billion to market capitalisation in the last 15 years, it is looking at an increase of nearly USD 250 billion by 2025, including through acquisitions.
Global Market Overview:-
            Asian stocks came off day's high to close mixed today, as investors eye a host of economic data due this week.  Nikkei and Shanghai gained 1 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively while Hang Seng lost0.15 percent.  

          European equities were trading higher with CAC and DAX up over 1.7 percent after a solid US jobs report that put the Federal Reserve on course to increase interest rates. Britain's FTSE was up 0.5 percent.  

          Nonfarm payrolls data showed the US economy created 211,000 jobs for November, beating market expectations. It is likely to have been the final sign for the Federal Reserve that conditions were right for a hike in interest rates in December.

Market Position :-
                     The market has opened lower dragged by weak global cues. The Sensex is down 50.61 points or 0.2 percebt at 25768.73, and the Nifty is down 9.70 points or 0.1 percent at 7839.55. About 351 shares have advanced, 202 shares declined, and 47 shares are unchanged. Maruti, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, Hindalco and Bharti Airtel are major losers while GAIL, Wipro, HDFC twins, Hero are gainers in the Sensex. The Indian rupee gained in early trade. It has opened higher by 10 paise at 66.37 per dollar against 66.47 Monday. NS Venkatesh of IDBI Bank said, "Rupee weakened against the dollar yesterday, mainly due to dollar strength against all currencies and demand from importers and closed at 66.47/dollar. The market was also supported by PSU banks selling dollar."

                Nifty closed on flat note after a choppy movement for the day. Nifty declined by 7 points toØ end at 7849.  The 30-share BSE Sensex down by 49 points and closed at 25819. However, the BSEØ Midcap index gained 0.4 percent and Small cap rose 0.5 percent  Tata Motors was down 0.25 percent as Goldman Sachs has downgraded the stock to sellØ from neutral as it believes the stock has priced in better H2FY16 volume growth and margin after H1FY16 slump.  The Finance Ministry has recently proposed a roadmap for the phasing out of all taxØ exemptions by the industry. According to proposal sunset clauses with regards to tax exemptions will be renewed and no weighted deduction will be allowed for any specified business activity from April 1, 2017 onwards.
Global Market Overview:-  
             Asian markets opened in green on Monday, following a rally on Wall Street last week asØ investors continue to look out for comments from central bankers on the trajectory of US monetary policy.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 91 points, or 0.51 percent, higher at 17,824, theØ S&P 500 ended 8 points, or 0.38 percent, up at 2,089, while the Nasdaq was 31 points, or 0.62 percent, higher to finish at 5,105.  Low iron ore prices and oil at sub-USD 45 a barrel are expected to exert strain onØ resources and commodities producers, most of whom opened lower.  Oil producers also opened mostly in the red. Santos and Woodside Petroleum shares wereØ down while Oil Search saw a 1.04 percent gain in the morning session.
