Stock Market End with 1.4% Higher



After a volatile day, the market ended at higher levels. The Sensex was up 373.62 points or 1.4 percent at 27251.10 and the Nifty ended up 108.50 points or 1.3 percent at 8235.45. About 1652 shares  advanced, 1051 shares declined and 160 shares were unchanged.
Banks surged through out the day with big gainers like Axis Bank, ICICI Bank and SBI. GAIL and BHEL were other top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers were Hindalco, Bharti Airtel, NTPC, Vedanta and Bajaj Auto.

Stock Market Opening Strong after 3 Days Loss

सेंसेक्स 350 अंक उछला, निफ्टी 8160 के पार
The market has opened on strong note after falling sharply for last few days. The Sensex is up 236.40 points or 0.9 percent at 26835.51 and the Nifty is up 68.05 points or 0.8 percent at 8125.35.

 The market is in high spirits as the Sensex is up 334.01 points or 1.3 percent at 26933.12. The Nifty is up 98.05 points or 1.2 percent at 8155.35. 
 About 1007 shares have advanced, 175 shares declined, and 82 shares are unchanged. ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, Tata Power, Cipla and Maruti Suzuki are top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers are Hero, Vedanta, GAIL and Bajaj Auto.

Stock Market Down Sharply on Broad Based Selling



Nifty sinks below 8050, Sensex falls sharply; Banks drag

After massive cuts yesterday, the market has again opened at 2015 lows. The Sensex is down 93.07 points at 26624.30 and the Nifty is down 40.50 points at 8056.50. About 294 shares have advanced, 487 shares declined, and 83 shares are unchanged.
Cipla, Dr Reddy's Labs, GAIL, Axis Bank and Wipro are major laggards while TCS, NTPC, Coal India, ONGC and Infosys are top gainers in the Sensex.
Indian rupee has opened at its lowest level in 2015, down 24 paise to 63.78 a dollar against previous day's closing value of 63.54 per dollar.

Stock Market Open with Strong Asian cues

Sensex, Nifty open in green; Sun Pharma up, Wipro falls 4% 

The market opens in green with strong Asian cues. The Sensex is up 37.47 points at 27713.51, and the Nifty is up 9.30 points at 8387.05. About 521 shares have advanced, 144 shares declined, and 74 shares are unchanged. 
Sun Pharma is up 1.5 percent while Dr Reddy's Labs, SBI, Axis Bank and Bajaj Auto are top gainers. Dragged by weak earnings, Wipro is down 4 percent. Among other laggards are Hindalco, GAIL, Bharti Airtel and Sesa Sterlite.
 The Indian rupee has opened flat at 62.81 per dollar against previous day's closing value of 62.85 a dollar. The dollar is mixed against major currencies, with the euro pivoting to modest gains against the greenback after euro zone finance ministers moved away from fixing a deadline for Greece to come up with fiscal reforms.

Stock Market Closing News –Sensex slips, banks drag



The market extended its southward journey for the fifth consecutive session today. The Sensex lost 30.30 points to 28161.72 and the Nifty fell 7.95 points to 8542.95.
 Essar Power will commence mining at its Jharkhand coal block in next few months to help the company restart its Mahaan power plant, lying idle due to lack of fuel since last 18 months.
About 1111 shares have advanced, 1701 shares declined, and 182 shares are unchanged on the BSE. Banks pulled the market down again. HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and State Bank of India shed around a percent each. Tata Motors plunged 3.4 percent.

Sensex, Nifty end in red



The Sensex ended down 65.59 points at 28437.71 and the Nifty slipped 14.60 points at 8633.15. About 1045 shares advanced, 1846 shares declined and 191 shares were unchanged.
Infosys, Tata Power, BHEL were up 2 percent. On the losing side were Sesa Sterlite, Hindalco, BHarti Airtel, NTPC and GAIL.
The euro struck a fresh 12-year low and euro zone stocks reached new peaks on bets that the currency's relentless fall will boost corporate earning prospects just as the rising dollar hits those of US firms.
