Latest Stock Market News – Nifty ends at 8395, Sensex up 380 pts

After a stellar rally, the market ended on a high note. The Sensex was up 380.36 points or 1.4 percent at 27887.90 and the Nifty closed up 111.45 points or 1.4 percent at 8395.45.

 About 1784 shares advanced, 1160 shares declined, and 709 shares were unchanged.

The market has ended a flat note on 2015. The Sensex ended up 8.12 points at 27507.54 and the Nifty was up 1.30 points at 8284. About 1843 shares have advanced, 989 shares declined, and 976 shares were unchanged.

Live Stock Tips –Nifty holds 8250 amid pressure; midcap

The market continued to trade lower on mild profit booking on the very first day of the year 2015. The Sensex fell 47.59 points to 27451.83 and the Nifty declined 14.60 points to 8268.10 while the broader markets outperformed frontline indices.

The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices gained 0.5 percent each. About two shares advanced for every share declining on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Stock Tips – Morning Stock Market News

Equity benchmarks opened flat on Wednesday despite positive Asian cues. The Sensex rose 9.05 points to 28453.06 and the Nifty climbed 6.85 points to 8531.55.

About 589 shares have advanced, 159 shares declined, and 33 shares are unchanged on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

 Tata Motors, BHEL, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto, Jindal Steel and Larsen & Turbo are top gainers in early trade, up 0.8-2 percent.

 However, ITC lost 2 percent followed by Infosys, Dr Reddy's Labs, Sesa Sterlite, Gail India and Coal India with more than 0.5 percent loss. Max India and Reliance Capital gained 2-5 percent.  The Indian rupee opened flat at 61.87 per dollar today against 61.88 a dollar in previous session.
