The Indian rupee advanced further in early trade on Wednesday. It has opened higher by 17 paise at 66.38 per dollar against previous close of 66.55.The rupee will take cues from the equity market today and is expected to trade in a range of 66.40-66.72/dollar

• The market opened on a rousing note this morning, with stocks extending previous session's gains, on positive global cues.
• The Sensex soared to 25,753.93, gaining nearly 450 points in a flash, and is currently up 370 points or 1.47% at 25,687.87.
• The Nifty is up 118.70 points or 1.54% at 7806.95, after vaulting to 7821.90.
• IT, healthcare, bank and metal stocks are among the most impressive gainers in opening trades.
• After a smart rally yesterday, the market has kick-started Wednesday with a bang. The Nifty has opened above 7800. 
• The 50-share index is up 117.85 points or 1.5 percent at 7806.10. 
• The Sensex is up 413.96 points or 1.6 percent at 25731.83. About 468 shares have advanced, 64 shares declined, and 11 shares are unchanged. Indian markets ended on bullish note. 
• Nifty & Sensex up by 1.71% and 1.70%.
• Asia Pacific mkt. mixed.  Nikkei down by 2.49% & KOSPI down by 0.24%.
• Wall St. Flat.USD ISM Manufacturing PMI down to 52.7.Dow fut. up by 230 pts.
• Indian broad indices showed upside movement and closed on positive note. On sectorial front PSU Bank, PSE and Metal were up while FMCG sector traded downside with 0.94%. Sensex was up by 424 points at 25317 & Nifty declined by 129 points to settle at 7688 level. European markets traded upside.
