Stock Tips & Market Alert: Nifty Above 7800 Level


Indian markets are expected to trade in a range on Monday, tracking muted trend seen in other Asian markets and SGX Nifty.
The S&P BSE Sensex on a flat-to-positive note led by gains in auto, capital goods and banks even as the Asian markets remained mixed. According to analysts, the trade may turn choppy as the session progresses as the benchmarks are close to their resistance levels.
The Sensex is up 20.46 points or at 26123.69 and the Nifty is down 6.45 points at 7785.25.
About 391 shares have advanced, 238 shares declined, and 39 shares are unchanged.
Tata Power, ONGC, HUL, Tata Motors and Dr Reddy's Labs are top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers are Sun Pharma, Hindalco, Cipla, Coal India and Bharti Airtel.

Latest Stock Market Tips with Live Updates


Stock Market extends in afternoon trade with the Sensex gaining 166.81 points at 26085.76 and the Nifty rising 41.90 points to 7781.45 supported by private banks, oil & gas, auto , steel and healthcare stocks.
Shares of Whirlpool rallied as much as 10% on Thursday to hit their new 52-week high of Rs 412.55 and were locked in the upper circuit, after the company reported a 67.37 per cent increase in its Q1 net profit.
The market breadth indicating the overall health of the market was currently positive, having moved alternately between positive and negative zone since mid-morning trade.
About 1495 shares have advanced, 1278 shares declined, and 127 shares are unchanged.


Stock Trading Tips : Sensex Regains Today 26,000


Stock market extended early gains with the Sensex hitting 26000 level, up 119.35 points to 26038.30 supported by private banks, technology, FMCG and healthcare stocks. The Nifty rose 27.85 points to 7767.40 while the broader markets remained flat.
The Nifty was at 7,756.75, up 17.20 points or 0.22 per cent. It touched intraday high of 7,757.90 and a low of 7,739.10 in trade today.
About 958 shares have advanced, 932 shares declined, and 72 shares are unchanged
Shares of HDFC Bank, ITC, ICICI Bank, TCS, Larsen and Toubro, Sun Pharma, Mahindra and Mahindra, Hindalco Industries, Sesa Sterlite and Gail India gained 1-1.7 percent followed by Infosys, Reliance Industries and Tata Motors with marginal gains.
However, Hero Motocorp lost more than 3 percent and Bajaj Auto slipped over a percent. ONGC, Axis Bank, Tata Steel, State Bank of India, HDFC, Bharti Airtel and BHEL declined 0.3-0.9 percent.

Stock Market Tips with Ending Session Updates


The BSE Sensex and Nifty edged higher for a third consecutive session on Wednesday as a weak rupee boosted technology stocks such as Tata Consultancy Services Ltd although broader gains were capped after disappointing earnings from blue-chips including Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd
The 50-share index Nifty also managed to above its crucial psychological level of 7700, supported by gains in HCL Tech, BPCL, NTPC, Wipro and ITC.
The Nifty ended at 7,739.55, up 12.50 points or 0.16 per cent. It touched intraday high of 7,757.10 and a low of 7,695.70 in trade today.
The 30-share index closed at 25,918.95, up 38.18 points or 0.15 per cent. It touched intraday high of 25,972.62 and a low of 25,791.79 in trade today.
FMCG stocks put up a great show in a weak market. ITC and HUL were up 2-3 percent while HDFC, Sun Pharma and Wipro were other gainers in the Sensex. BHEL down 7 % was the biggest loser, followed by Coal India, SBI and Axis Bank.

Live Stock Tips : Sensex, Nifty Opened Flat


The S&P BSE Sensex opened on a subdued note led by losses in capital goods, banks and power sectors on the back of disappointing macro data.
Stock Market opened on a flat note on Wednesday after two-day strong rally. The Sensex declined 23.60 points to 25857.17 and the Nifty fell 7 points to 7720.05.
About 447 shares have advanced, 421 shares declined, and 37 shares are unchanged. BHEL plunged 4.07 post more than 20 percent fall in Q1 profit. Tata Power, NTPC, GAIL, Larsen and Toubro and Bank of Baroda lost more than a percent.
The market breadth was positive on the BSE with 729 gainers against 675 losers.

The Nifty ended the trade at 7,727.05, up 101.10 points or 1.33 per cent. It touched an intraday high of 7,735.75 and a low of 7,654.80 in trade today.

The market continued to see buying interest in afternoon trade supported by private banking and financials, healthcare, power, and PSU oil and gas stocks along with Tata Motors.
The 30-share BSE Sensex jumped 155.33 points or 0.61 percent to 25674.57 and the 50-share NSE Nifty rose 39.20 points or 0.51 percent to 7665.15. About 1299 shares have advanced, 1403 shares declined, and 146 shares are unchanged.
The S&P BSE Sensex pared some of the intraday gains but was hovering 150 points up led by gains in auto, capital goods and oil & gas sectors.
Tata Motors retained its top position in the buying list, up 5.04 percent followed by GAIL, HDFC, ONGC, Sun Pharma and UltraTech Cement with 2-4.5 percent. However, Bharti Airtel, Hindalco Industries, Mahindra and Mahindra, Hero Motocorp and ITC lost 0.9-1.7 percent.
