Stock Market News: TCS Shares Slopes Down Today



Shares in India's Tata Consultancy Services Ltd fell as much as 4 percent on Wednesday after analysts said the company has indicated revenue growth for the quarter ending in March could be weaker than the previous quarter.
The S&P BSE Sensex was up 8.47 points or 0.04% to 21,841.08. The index gained 60.81 points at the day's high of 21,893.42 in early trade. The index fell 13.52 points at the day's low of 21,819.09 in early trade.
The CNX Nifty was up 3.80 points or 0.06% to 6,520.45. The index hit a high of 6,534.75 in intraday trade. The index hit a low of 6,510.80 in intraday trade.
The market breadth, indicating the overall health of the market, was strong. On BSE, 575 shares rose and 242 shares fell. A total of 38 shares were unchanged.
GAIL (India) (up 1.39%), HDFC (up 1.05%) and AXIS Bank (up 0.93%) edged higher from the Sensex pack.

Asian stocks rose on Tuesday as data showing an improvement in US factory output boosted optimism in the world's biggest economy.
Shares of Maruti Suzuki India(MRTI.NS) surged on Tuesday on plans to seek minority shareholder approval to set up a plant in Gujarat as a unit of Suzuki Motor Corp (7269.T), after the proposed move drew opposition from the company's leading institutional investors.
The market breadth, indicating the overall health of the market, was strong. On BSE, 830 shares rose and 303 shares fell. A total of 53 shares were unchanged.

Stock Market Alert: Asian Shares Dropped Today

Asian shares dropped to a one-month low and the yen pushed higher on Friday, as heightened tension in Ukraine ahead of a weekend referendum drove investors out of riskier assets. Key benchmark indices in China, Indonesia, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore were off 0.46% to 3.02%.

Stock News Today: India's Infosys Shares Slumps Down

Shares of Infosys are under tremendous selling pressure, dragging it 9 percent in early trade on Thursday. Investors are worried about the software company as executive chairman Narayana Murthy on Wednesday said he is not at all happy at the way Infosys has performed.
                     
Infosys, India's second largest software services exporter, in January raised revenue growth guidance for the 2013/14 financial year to between 11.5 and 12 percent from a previously forecast 9-10 percent, citing higher demand for its services.

Infosys shares were down 7.4 percent at 0351 GMT.

Asian stocks fell on Wednesday as oil dropped and emerging-market and commodity-linked currencies weakened amid concern that China's economy may be faltering. 
Shares of L&T Finance Holdings and Just Dial rallied more than 5 percent in early trade on inclusion in futures and options segment of the National Stock Exchange. 
The S&P BSE Sensex was down 18.40 points or 0.08% to 21,808.02. The index gained 33.30 points at the day's high of 21,859.72 in early trade. The index shed 58.28 points at the day's low of 21,768.14 in early trade. 
Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 1.88%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (up 1.39%) and ITC (up 1.27%) edged higher from the Sensex pack.

Stock Market Updates:Sensex, Nifty end lower on Profit-Taking

The Nifty fell on Tuesday, retreating from a record high hit earlier in the session, as recent outperformers such as Reliance Industries fell on profit-booking ahead of key inflation data.
India's record-setting rally, with the Nifty hitting its third all-time high in as many sessions, faces a key test on Wednesday when India is due to release consumer inflation and industrial output data, the last set of reports before the Reserve Bank of India's policy review on April 1.

Afternoon Highlights of Stock Market

•About of volatility was witnessed as key benchmark indices trimmed losses after hitting fresh intraday low in afternoon trade.
India's broader NSE index falls 0.4 percent, retreating further after hitting a record high at 6,562.85 earlier in the day.
The barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex, was down 81.14 points or 0.37%, off close to 165 points from the day's high and up about 42 points from the day's low.
•Auto stocks were mixed. Godrej Properties rose after the company said it has entered into an agreement with Godrej & Boyce (G&B) to develop a new project on the latter's property on the Eastern Express Highway, Vikhroli, Mumbai.
Shares of state-run iron ore miner NMDC fell after the company unveiled its iron ore production and despatches data for the 11 months ended February 2014.
