Indian Stock Market Closing Bell



The market closed higher for the fourth consecutive session on Wednesday. The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 104.19 points to 28888.86 while the 50-share NSE Nifty closed above the 8700 level for the first time, up 33.90 points or 0.39 percent at 8729.50.
About 1236 shares have advanced, 1710 shares declined, and 261 shares are unchanged on the BSE. HUL topped the buying list on Sensex, up 5.09 percent whereas ITC was the biggest loser, down 5 percent post disappointing volume growth in cigarettes business. Morning Stock Market News & Trading Tips



After a stellar performance, the market has opened higher. The Sensex is up 93.46 points at 28878.13 and the Nifty is up 24.05 points at 8719.65.
The S&P BSE Sensex rallied as much as 96 points in trade on Wednesday to hit its fresh lifetime high of 28880.80, led by gains in HDFC, HDFC Bank, TCS, L&T and Sun Pharma. 
About 501 shares have advanced, 148 shares declined, and 199 shares are unchanged. Sesa Sterlite, M&M, Tata Steel, Cipla and HDFC Bank are top gainers in the Sensex.
Tracking the momentum, the 50-share Nifty index also surged as much as 27 points in trade t touch its fresh record high of 8722.50, supported by gains in capital goods, banks, auto, consumer durable and metal stocks. 
The Indian rupee opened flat at 61.68 per dollar versus 61.69 Tuesday.

Stock Market Evening News Highlights



Bulls rampaged Dalal Street as market closed at record high boosted by some heavyweights. The Sensex ended up 522.66 points or 1.8 percent at 28784.67. The Nifty shut at 8695.60, up 144.90 points or 1.7 percent. About 1568 shares have advanced, 1406 shares declined, and 291 shares were unchanged. Heavyweights led the rally with some stellar performance by HDFC, Sesa Sterlite, Tata Steel, Axis Bank and Tata Motors. Among the losers were GAIL, Tata Power, Maruti, Dr Reddy's and TCS.

Live Stock Tips & Stock Market Opening Bell



The market opened higher as the Sensex is up 109.31 points at 28371.32. The Nifty is up 28.50 points at 8579.20. About 485 shares have advanced, 112 shares declined, and 222 shares are unchanged.

Live Evening Updates on Stock Market



The market managed to hold on to its gains till the end, supported by capital goods and pharma stocks. The Sensex ended up 140.12 points at 28262.01 and the Nifty was up 36.90 points at 8550.70. About 1670 shares advanced, 1304 shares declined and 296 shares were unchanged.
 Wipro was up 5 percent, followed by GAIL, BHEL, Axis Bank and Bharti Airtel. HUL lost 5 percent after it showed dismal volume growth in Q3. Hero, TCS , HDFC and SBI were other laggards in the Sensex.
