Indian Stock Market Closing Bell— Sensex ends up 184 pts



After a volatile day of trade, the market ended on higer note. The Sensex was up 183.67 points or 0.7 percent at 27458.38, and the Nifty gained 49.90 points or 0.6 percent at 8284.50. About 1351 shares have advanced, 1543 shares declined and 399 shares were unchanged.
HUL and Infosys were stars of the day. Bouyed up by better-than-expected December quarter results, the IT company ended with 5 percent gains. HUL was up 6 percent. TCS, Dr Reddy's Labs and ONGC were other gainers in the Sensex.

Nifty hovers around 8100,Sensex start on a cautious note



After falling over 800 points in the previous session, S&P BSE Sensex started on a cautious note, but was trading with a positive bias. 
The Sensex is up 16.67 points at 27004.13 and the Nifty is up 6.65 points at 8134.00. About 808 shares have advanced, 403 shares declined, and 430 shares are same unchanged.
The index managed to bounce back to reclaim its crucial psychological level of 27000 after falling nearly 100 points in trade, supported by gains in HUL, TCS, ITC, Infosys
BSE 0.48 % and RIL. 
NTPC, Sesa Sterlite, TCS, SBI and Infosys are top gainers in the Sensex. Tata Motors, GAIL, L&T, BHEL and Tata Power are among the major losers.

Stock Market Closing News – Sensex, Nifty end down



The market has ended at lower level. The Sensex was down 45.58 points at 27842.32, and the Nifty slipped 17.05 points at 8378.40. About 1587 shares have advanced, 1394 shares declined, and 577 shares were unchanged. Maruti was the biggest gainer, up 3 percent.
Other major gainers were Tata Motors, L&T, Tata Steel and ONGC. Among the losers were Bahrti Airtel, Dr Reddy's Labs, Hindalco, HDFC and Coal India.

Live Stock Tips –Nifty holds 8250 amid pressure; midcap



The market continued to trade lower on mild profit booking on the very first day of the year 2015. The Sensex fell 47.59 points to 27451.83 and the Nifty declined 14.60 points to 8268.10 while the broader markets outperformed frontline indices.
The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices gained 0.5 percent each. About two shares advanced for every share declining on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Indian Stock Market Closing News



The BSE Sensex was trading 0.12 per cent lower and the Nifty flat on Friday, giving up gains earlier in the session as investors refused to take big risks ahead of the year-end holidays, while muted sentiment across the region also weighed.
Trading volumes remained low as investor interest was subdued despite Friday being the first trading day for the new monthly derivatives contract, traders said.
Overseas investors sold shares worth Rs. 2,810 crore on Wednesday, provisional exchange data showed. Foreign institutional investors have been selling shares for the 11th straight session, totalling about $1.5 billion, exchange and regulatory data showed.
