Stock Market Opening Live Updates— Sensex up 200 pts ; Wipro, HDFC gainers




The market rebounded sharply on Monday, tracking positive global cues. The Sensex rallied 197.15 points or 0.72 percent to 27655.79 and the Nifty reclaimed 8400, up 60.80 points or 0.73 percent at 8402.20.
About 474 shares have advanced, 71 shares declined, and 88 shares are unchanged on the BSE.  Wipro, HDFC, Sesa Sterlite, M&M, Bharti Airtel, ITC, BPCL, Idea Cellular and Asian Paints rallied 1-1.5 percent.
The Indian rupee opened lower by 15 paise at 62.56 per dollar on Monday against Friday's closing value of 62.41 a dollar.

Latest Stock Market Tips —Sensex, Nifty flat



JSPL rebounds, ICICI & ONGC losers

The market opened flat amid consolidation on Tuesday as the Nifty is heading towards March expiry scheduled to be taken place on Thursday.
The Sensex fell 3.90 points to 28188.12 and the Nifty declined 2.80 points to 8548.10. About 345 shares have advanced, 282 shares declined, and 90 shares are unchanged on the BSE.
 Jindal Steel bounced back with 2 percent gains as the Delhi HC issued notice to government on plea with respect to cancellation of blocks and restrained government from allotting Tara coal block to Coal India.
Sun Pharma gained more than 1 percent as CCI approved Sun Pharma-Ranbaxy's plan to sell brands to Emcure.
 TCS, ITC, Reliance Industries, Wipro and Maruti Suzuki marginally gained while ICICI Bank and ONGC fell over a percent.
The Indian rupee has opened higher at 62.20 a dollar today against previous day's closing value of 62.27 a dollar.

Stock Market Closing Bell—Sensex, Nifty end lower



The market ended lower dragged mostly by capital goods and FMCG stocks. The Sensex is down 208.59 points or 0.7 percent at 28261.08. The Nifty is down 63.75 points or 0.7 percent at 8570.90. About 770 shares have advanced, 2104 shares declined, and 168 shares are unchanged.
Only IT index ended in green. Wipro, Infosys, Coal India, Dr Reddy's Labs and TCS are top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers are NTPC, ICICI Bank, BHEL, M&M and GAIL.

Live Stock Tips Alert: Sensex, Nifty under pressure



The market opened lower on Friday following weakness in global peers. The Sensex fell 126.80 points to 28342.87 and the Nifty declined 43.30 points to 8591.35.
About 470 shares have advanced, 576 shares declined, and 107 shares are unchanged on the BSE.
Wipro, Sun Pharma, Tata Power, Coal India, Cipla, Lupin and Dr Reddy's Labs gained 0.5-1 percent. However, NTPC tanked 7 percent as the stock adjusted for debentures bonus issue. Tata Motors, HDFC, M&M, GAIL and Grasim lost 0.7-1.5 percent.
 The Indian rupee opened flat at 62.51 per dollar today against previous day's closing value of 62.52 a dollar.
The dollar rose broadly as investors remain bullish on the greenback, it is currently above the 99 mark.

Stock Market Evening Updates— SBI, BHEL, and Reliance drag



Sensex sheds 152 pts, Nifty weak; SBI, BHEL, Reliance drag
The market ended lower. The Sensex was down 152.45 points or 0.5 percent at 28469.67 and the Nifty slipped 51.25 points or 0.6 percent at 8634.65. About 1123 shares advanced, 1714 shares declined and 195 shares were unchanged.
Axis Bank, BHEL, SBI, Reliance and ICICI Bank were laggards. Among the gainers were GAIL, TCS, NTPC, ONGC and Tata Steel.
