• The benchmark BSE Sensex on Thursday snapped its 3-day losing streak and recovered from over one-year low by gaining 311.22 points to 25,764.78 on value-buying in recently beaten-down stocks amid rebound in global markets.
• The market moved further up north this afternoon, with the bulls turning quite aggressive and lapping up stocks across the board with renewed vigour.
• The Sensex, which rose to 25,825.79, is currently up 315 points or 1.25% at 25,768.56. The Nifty is up 108.80 points or 1.4% at 7825.80, after hitting a high of 7839.70.
• Indian markets ended on bullish note. Nifty and Sensex up by 1.37% and 1.22%.
• Asia Pacific mkt. mixed. Nikkei and KOSPI up by 0.48% and 0.02% respectively.
• Wall St. Flat.USD ISM Manufacturing PMI down to 52.7.Dow fut. up by 192 pts.

The market has started off Thursday's session on a strong note, led by short covering following weakness in previous three consecutive sessions. The 30-share BSE Sensex rallied 161.13 points or 0.63 percent to 25,614.69 and the 50-share NSE Nifty climbed 56.85 or 0.74 percent to 7,773.85.
The market has opened on a firm note this morning, tracking positive global cues.

• The Sensex is up 158 points or 0.62% at 25,611.56, while the Nifty is up 43 points or 0.56% at 7760.00.

Stock Market update:-

The Indian stock market has opened on a firm note this morning, with investors making some purchases in opening trades, after the government said it will not impose minimum alternate tax on foreign portfolio investors retrospectively.

          The Sensex is up 111 points or 0.43% at 25,807.44, after racing to 25,939.37 at the start.

            The Nifty, which rose to 7862.55, is currently up 28.05 points or 0.36% at 7813.90.

After sharp cuts yesterday, the market has opened higher. The Sensex is up 148.78 points or 0.6 percent at 25845.22 and the Nifty is up 44.20 points or 0.6 percent at 7830.05. About 570 shares have advanced, 135 shares declined, and 34 shares are unchanged. Lupin, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Sun Pharma and Hindalco are top gainers in the Sensex.Among the losers are Hero, ONGC, Bajaj Auto, NTPC and Tata Motors.
