Live Stock Market News & Trading Tips for Today

The BSE benchmark Sensex opened higher by over 100 points ahead of the Reserve Bank of India's monetary policy review.
The broader Nifty also gained 30 points ahead of the key event led by buying visible in the banking heavyweights like State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank.
Market participants believe that the Reserve Bank of India governor Raghuram Rajan may consider going in for a rate cut as the inflation has moderated. Improving fiscal situation after the government raised over Rs. 22,000 crore by selling its stake in Coal India also suggests that the central bank may cut rates by 25 basis points.
