Live Stock Market News and Tips



The S&P BSE Sensex started on a cautious note in trade on Tuesday, led by losses in Infosys, HDFC, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank BSE 0.90 %.
Tracking the momentum, the 50-share Nifty index also came under pressure and was trading below its crucial psychological level of 8750 levels, weighed down by losses in IT and banking stocks.
the 30-share index was at 28813.62, down 32 points or 0.11 per cent. It touched a high of 28,949.11 and a low of 28,791.58 in trade today.
The Nifty was at 8747.70 down 10 points or 0.10 per cent. It touched a high of 8771.35 and a low of 8734.75 in trade today.
he S&P BSE Midcap Index was up 0.45 per cent and BSE S&P Small cap Index edged higher by 0.53 per cent.
Bharti Airtel (up 2.4 per cent), BHEL (up 2 per cent), Cipla (up 1.5 per cent), Tata Motors (up 1.06 per cent) and Coal India (up 1.05 per cent) were among the major Sensex gainers. 
The Indian rupee slipped further on Tuesday. It has opened lower by 25 paise at 62.80 per dollar versus 62.55 Monday.

Markets ends in green: UltraTech big gainer, surges 7.7%



The BSE Sensex and Nifty were trading flat on Monday as advances in capital goods stocks on positive proposals in the Budget and gains in banks were offset by declines in heavyweights such as ITC.
The Sensex ended the day in green but could not maintain the momentum after opening 200 points higher. The broader 50-stock Nifty ended above its crucial level of 8,900. Experts had expected the market to make fresh highs in today's trade.
India will increase investment in infrastructure by Rs. 70,000 crore ($11.35 billion) in the fiscal year 2015-16, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said on Saturday, when presenting the government's full-year Budget.

Budget 2015: Nifty at 1-mnth closing high



After a volatile day, the market ended Budget day trading on a higher note. The Nifty was at a 1-month closing high. The 50-share index was up 57.25 points at 8901.85. The Sensex ended up 141.38 points. About 1241 shares have advanced, 1494 shares declined, and 220 shares are unchanged.
Axis Bank, Sun Pharma, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank and HUL were top gainers in the Sensex. ITC lost 8 percent, BHEL, NTPC, Hindalco and Tata Power were major laggards in the Sensex. The Finance Minister said that total additional public investment over and above is planned to be Rs 1.25 lakh crore out of which Rs 70,000 crore would be capital expenditure from budgetary outlays. “We also have to take into account the drastically reduced fiscal space; uncertainties that implementation of GST will create; and the likely burden from the report of the 7th Pay Commission,” he said.

Sensex, Nifty end flat



Sensex, Nifty end flat; bank, oil & pharma stocks drag
The market ended flat with oil & gas stocks dragging major indices. The Sensex was up 40.95 points at 29135.88 and the Nifty was up 3.85 points at 8809.35. About 1336 shares advanced, 1584 shares declined and 195 shares were unchanged. ITC gained 3 percent while TCS, Bharti, HUL and HDFC were top gainers in the Sensex.
Among the losers were Sun Pharma, ICICI Bank, Hindalco, Hero and Axis Bank.

Indian Share Market Closing News Highlights



The market remained higher in trade for the second consecutive session with the 50-share NSE Nifty closing above 8600 level, led by bank stocks again.
The index climbed 61.85 points to 8627.40 while the 30-share BSE Sensex rose 178.35 points to 28533.97. The broader markets outperformed benchmarks with the BSE Midcap and Small cap indices rising 1.5 percent each.
